How to Properly Take Care of Your New Bathroom
Recently upgraded your bathroom? Don’t let that hard work go to waste by using harsh chemicals. Take a look below at the proper techniques to maintaining your new bathroom.
Cleaning the Shower
Make sure to always wipe off excess water along the walls after every use. Avoid cleaning products that use abrasives or ammonia. If you notice limescale or rust buildup, try a mild acid detergent. Minor scratches and color fading can be handled with polish and wax. However, if the scratches are more severe, remove them with wet sandpaper.
Cleaning the Toilet
Mild detergent can be used to clean the surface of the toilet but the areas where water sits should be cleaned with an antibacterial toilet cleaner. Since the flush buttons are made with plastic, you should not use strong detergents.
Cleaning the Bathtub
You can extend the life of your bathtub by cleaning it with the proper detergents. Use a softer cloth to avoid damaging the bathtub. If you notice your bathtub has scratches from sanitary acrylic, these can easily be polished.
Cleaning the Sink
The sink can endure some serious grime and residue, especially if you consider the amount of hairspray, toothpaste, etc. that gets stuck. Light soil can be removed from all-purpose cleaner but hardened deposits should be removed with abrasive cleaners.
